Alex Cory

Alex comes from a sailing family and spent most of him time on the water as a child: yacht and dinghy sailing, and windsurfing. After leaving school, it came as no suprise when Alex followed in his grandfather's footsteps and went to work in the yachting industry, training as a boat builder, building wooden and GRP boats at the Marine Builders Training Trust in Woolston.

After four years working for Sunsail and other charter companies teaching sailing, Alex moved towards super yachts and spent twenty years working as captain/engineer. During this time Alex also acted as owner's representative for a number of new builds, overseeing major refits and undertaking yearly yard maintenance.

Alex has travelled extensively in the Mediterranean and Caribbean, both with and without owners and guests, so has experience in many different aspects of the yachting industry.
